Community Wells and Schools
Because of the generosity of our supporters, we have been able to launch several projects to improve the lives of the Brewerville community.
Community Wells
Almost every one of the community wells in our area is broken. Most of them no longer have hand pumps, leaving the well exposed. An open well poses a real threat to the community, as it is highly vulnerable to contamination. On any given day, more than 50% of hospital beds in Africa are filled with water/hygiene related illnesses. Globally, it is estimated that 88% of diarrheal disease cases are attributed to unsafe water. Each year an estimated 2.2 million children die from diarrhea and 443 million school days are lost to water-related illnesses. Our goal is to bring clean water to our entire community. We have rehabilitated several wells, and hope to do many more. If you would like to contribute to this outreach, just add a note saying “wells” to your donation.

Helping Other Schools
We have been able to donate items to other schools in Liberia. We have given desks, textbooks, and library books. We hope to continue this outreach so even more children will be impacted.
